Is Bactrim associated with depression/sadness? I've been taking it now for a few weeks along with doxycycline(which I'm always fine with) and feel really low. I've had some recent bad events in my life-had to move out of my home a week ago due to the discovery of massive mold issue, so have reason to feel sorry for myself, but I'm wondering if the med. is contributing. Also feel weak and faint. Has anyone else had trouble with Bactrim? Sue

DS went through this in a big way. Think it has more to do with killing off Babesia.

Hmm. I'm taking it for bartonella. Babesia was treated with malarone and zithromax--no real issues.

Bactrim also works on babesia. Could be caused due to die off.

I did --- but this was prior to being treated for Lyme and co.
Got put on it for a kidney infection and was nasty, super depressed felt very agitated.
Not nice stuff. And come to think of it, the symptoms it caused definitely remind me of what I go through with cr@ppy old Babs.
