She swears most of problems at from hypoglycemia, 50 percnt, I haven't had appetite last few months, pushing to eat. She wants 4 meals a day, chicken, turkey, fish...any suggestions? My sugar levels are normal but she said she's seen this often and it's from food. Pushing a lot of protein. This whole thing has become a nightmare, salt low, Lyme Bart, low cortisol, hyponatremia, she's trying to balance neurotransmitters off levels. not poor me but I dontknow what to do anymore for what.. Fluid restriction for hyponatremia 32 oz day, stopped rif zith Sunday, too much still mind shot. Wants to stabilize hypoglycemia. Anyone else? She's a great doc, I trust. This happen to anyone else with symptoms similar? Anxiety through roof, OCD worse, wake up confused. How could all systems go at once all resulting in brain, NUT. So crazy.

I'm really sorry you're having such a hard time. Your situation sounds fragile since you are having a hard time getting proper nutrition and anxiety can be so hard on us.

I don't really have any answers but I thought of something just because my close friend is also treating for Lyme and Bart and she discovered that her appetite really increased while she was on Doxycycline.

Apparently that is a side effect for some people. I don't know how it might effect you but maybe that might help at some point?

I would wonder if you shouldn't also be on Lyme meds anyway, rather than just Rif and Zith?

I wish you the best of luck and anxiety-free days very very soon. Have you tried any calming teas? You can find some from Yogi Teas in most grocery stores, and they can really help.

The doc can have you order or they have a protien builder that you make shake with I-5 So it has the protien and if you buy Alive/food/powder that is vitamins and all kind s of stuff..Made with Pea and something...In canaster or I ordered on Amazon here so it helps this site

Can you make at least 1 shake a day????? put whatever else you want in it,,, Our kitchen is downstairs ,tiny Townhouse so I have to rely on husband at his whim usually.... If I was on same floor I could do this more..

All to say it helped. Before all this happened I had Hypo and Shaklee had and excellent protien drink I used ...Otherwise I would almost pass out during day .

The other is LLMD suggested/ordered ..

For what it's worth.

Since your doctor thinks that some of your symptoms may be due to hypoglycemia you might want to buy a refractometer.

A refractometer costs about $30.00 and it is a device that will measure dissolved carbohydrates in your urine (though it is primarily used to measure the brix/sugar content of plants/fruits/vegetables) and according to Dr. Carey Reams when your refractometer reading is bellow 1.5 you can experience hypoglycemic symptoms.

http://brixman.com/REAMS/hypoglycemia.htm

I have personally found this to be the case and the refractometer has been VERY helpful to me. Whenever my refractometer reading drops bellow 1.5 I will usually get hypoglycemic symptoms even though my blood glucose levels test normal.

If you are interested in using a refractometer, you can purchase one for about $30.00 dollars on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-0-32-ATC-Brix-Refractometer-Wine-Beer-CNC-Sugar-/390202796300?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ad9e6290c

To test your urine with a refractometer all you have to do is put a few drops of your urine on the glass plate of the refractometer and look through the lens to get your reading. It takes about 15 seconds to do the test.

Bellow are a couple of articles regarding the use of a refractometer and it's potential usefullness in the area of health.

Having radical fluctuations in available carbohydrate is revealed not in the blood, but in the urine via a refractometer.
