Hey gang,

been a long time since i posted...for no other reason than work and my protracted recovery from Lyme....i have made a lot of progress this year but for the most part i cannot get over my remaining nervousness, anxiety...working on Wall street is not helping(yes i am thankful).

i have a question i want to pose to those of you with Bartonella experience who have treated with Cowden herbs(HH spec.)

well like many of you i have never tested positive for bartonellas and i don't have the myriad of sypmtoms that are listed. Just nervousness, crappy stamina and strength. on 2 different occasions in the past 3 years i took specific abx to address baeronella(doxy, rifampin). in both cases i had extreme reactions(headaches, panic attacks, anxiety)...each time i went 2 months until could no longer take it...fast forward a year and half...and i am a lot better thanks to dcotor change(thanks Julie)...i read which i could not do i function mentally at almost 100%

so i pressed my doctor about beating this last major annoyance...she muscle tested for bartonella using HH...and i tested positive. Started taking Pinella, Enula, HH and adrenal on Dec 1...one drop of each every day...so i am 21 drops in and at first i though it was my inagination but now i can say for sure i feel almost the same as i did while on rifampin..i am all but convinced i have bartonella...

so 21 drop in and this protocal being my doc and i am looking for advise on how to pulse to make this tolerable without stopping ..i need to get to 30 drops but still need to do my job and i am suddendly back to brainfog because i am toxic.

anyway ..i love you all , happy holidays and if i can ask for real experinces as opposed to conjecture it would be appreciated(can you tell i've been on here before [Smile]

and for those of you that are very sick hang in there it does get better but it takes a long time like a sersiolsy stupid amount of time... i've had Lyme for 2.4 years before treating and i am now treating for 3 years 3 months.

Peace to all and keep the faith,

Dave

Zoinks...the dreaded muscle testing...not my fav diagnostic tool. However, suspicion alone is often grounds for treating so I think you're doing the right thing by trying the herbs.

You may want to bump up your detox supps like parsley and burbur. Maybe add some lemon water.

Good luck.

Treating parasites is another good angle for going after BART.

We beat and/or finish Bart off by getting the immune system back on track (to suppress the infection)

Parasites in my experience very much keep the immune system down. There even seems to be a direct connection with parasites and Bart (maybe parasites hold on to Bart, etc etc)

Belive me Lyme ..what i love about my doctor is that she takes it for what is worth and is alwasy looking for answers. She knows the muscle tetsing is anecdotal but to mnay of the psoitves have tuirned out to be correct and we have nothing to lose but time and money. and based on my body's response i finally feel like maybe i have the last piece of the puzzle.

Cane,

one of the items i am on is Enula whihc is an anti-parasitic...

ps...how are you...haven't talked to you in along time...are you well these days? hope so.

Dave

Some of your herbs are Nutramedix, correct?

I also took HH, but it was from the Zhang collection of herbs and I did not take it at the same time as the Nutramedix herbs.

I took the Nutramedix herbs a long time ago, back when they had a customer service expert who would answer your questions if you called. They stopped this years ago, due to legal risks I believe.

Anyway, when I got like you were as far as symptoms being unbearable and still not being at the "effective dose", I called this expert and talked to him.

He told me they strongly advise against herxing as it can cause organ damage. I did not do as he said and I have a lot of end organ damage now, so he was probably right.

He said the effective dose is different for everyone, and could just be a lot less for me. He said whatever dose makes you herx is one dose higher than your proper dose. Drop back slowly until you are not having those awful symptoms and stay there....that is your best dose. This is what he told me, FWIW.

I found Burbur to be useless, and only got results with Chlorella, raising the dose very slowly, so it didn't upset my GI system. But, we are all different.

Best of luck,
klutzo
