Hi
Iam scheduled to get my wisdom teeth romoved on Tuesday. They are going to be putting me out for the procedure as they are pretty impacted.

Is it unsafe for lyme patients to be put under?

Im scared i wont wake up or something. Help calm my nerves

No worries. :) I've had 5 surgeries with general anesthesia (completely out). As far as wisdom teeth go, I was wide awake when I had mine out (and had lyme at that time but didn't know it). If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely have done the anesthesia (who needs the stress?).

I have been put under about 5 times as well for different things since lyme... mostly small things. I have not had a problem.

You will feel pretty tired and it can last quite a while. My doctor told me the anesthesia can circulate the system for quite a while afterwards.

You will be fine.

Next question, do I keep taking abx up until I am not allowed to (I am not allowed to eat or drink after midnight).
