I love Change.org and have signed many of their petitions. Then I "Googled" my name one day and there I was, all over the place.

I contacted them and they deleted my name from public view - then told me to UN-CHECK THE BOX for privacy - but then I wonder just who sees my original signature.

"Display my signature publicly" box is checked automatically. -- UN-CHECK to hide name from public view.

I'm glad to see them taking the initiative on this and other matters but, for most of us, going public could have serious consequences at this sad time in the Lyme scene.

We all know that employers, prospective employers, insurance companies, etc. do search people all the time.

Be aware.

I have a name that I use only for such public purposes and a separate email address for that name. It's easy for me to remember but (I think) I could not be traced with it.

But, now I see they need address, city, etc. I don't have a complete alternate persona.

But, that reminds me - tonight on ABC "Pan Am" - my favorite new show.
