I'm just wondering to see what the average time is.
When did you start taking flagyl. how far into your treatment. also what was the dose.

You know from what I read and my experience there are certain antibiotics that will put LD in a cyst form right away. Therefore you should be taking a cyst buster like Flagyl right away with the other antibiotic.
Make sure to discuss with your doctor before starting any protocol.

When I got to my final lyme doc, the one who cured me, he put me on 2 antibiotics right off the bat and one of them was flagyl.
Now, I can't say what he would have done if I would have had a different history. My history was I had just spent 2 years on high-dose amoxicillin. He said that monotherapy had converted all of my lyme to the cyst form. Hence, the flagyl plus another antibiotic. He attacked the lyme in both its forms right from the start.
In 2 months, we were finished with the lyme and moved on to the coinfections.
He thought he might have to come back at the end of my treatment and treat me for lyme again, but that proved unnecessary in my case.
In 13 months, he had treated me for lyme, babs, and bart and I was done. That included the final 5 months of being symptom-free.
This all happened nearly 7 years ago, and I am still free of these terrible diseases.

I have taken flagyl for most of my treatment. I have taken it with different combinations of meds. It is the hardest for me to take, but I feel it works the best.
Right now I pulse it every 10 days. The flagyl pulse includes zith and plaquenil, and the other pulse is clindamycin and qualquin.
If you are interested in dosing, send me a pm.

I've never been on flagyl for Lyme because I have severe neuropathy.
Other common cyst busters used are Tindamax, Plaquenil, and GSE. Maybe you are taking or have been on one of these instead?
Remember, our treatment is based on individual need. Sometimes what works and is best for one person is not what is best for all. Just a thought.

I'm on Rocephin Flagyl right now. I'm 2 months into treatment. I was on Tindamax for the first month and a half. Doc wants me on Alinia but because of the shortage I can't get it. The flagyl is kicking my butt. I feel extra fatigued, my head feels bloated and I feel mildly nauseous. I'm wondering if I should push through the misery or ask doc to change from Flagyl
