Hi guys,

I feel like I cannot take one more second of treatment. It's like I'm between a rock and a hard place. I'm sick on the meds and sick off of them.

How have you guys gotten past these feelings of wanting to throw every medication/ supplement/ herb/ Lyme book/ actual limes and anything lime-colored in the trash and give up?

Oh yes, I have. I don't want to be sick, so I push on. Then I get weary from meds, supplements, side effects.........

Keep pushing forward -all of us on the board represent some part of the fight. Some are new-some have fought for a long time.

That is what is nice about having each other here, we can share and hold each other up.

Hi Aperture,

We have the same LLMD. After seeing 4 LLMDs before, this one is definitely the best. She knows her stuff and was trained by two of the best doctors. No doubt, if I had found her first, I think I would be in remission by now.

I know it's hard, but hang in there and don't give up!

I posted this same topic at 4 months into treatment:
Treatment weary at 4 months.

The feeling did pass. One day at a time. Hang in there.
I can say at 6 months into treatment, I have had some days
where I can 'see' how good it can be.

Some days of improvement. You will get there. Can't quit now!

I am feeling the same this time around.

But if you think about how much worse it coould make your life than where you are at now if you don't continue to fight

well I think you will march on.

It's so tough. It feels like You definitely are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I can tell you though once you start t have good days without a Herx, you will start to feel and see the improvements little by little.

Hang in there. It takes a lot of time to get better, but it will be worth it.

Thanks guys for the support. I went to sleep last night convinced I was going to give up. I woke up and saw all of your posts, and decided to keep up the fight. [group hug]

I had remission 3 times. This time I can't get dormant for the last 2 years. I hope it doesn't go on much longer. Took a long time the first few times but it did happen. It's so discouraging but when you get your life back, there's not enough hours in the day. You'll be ok, keep goin.

It's HARD, that is for sure! The fear of what would happen by NOT treating kept me going. Once you have some good days, you'll be strengthened in your resolve.
