I was bedridden for about the first nine months. Basically the doctor told me I had no reflexes in my legs. I was numb on my left side of my body and tremored on my right.
I did finally get back up and moving after treatment but then I had lost so much muscle mass. Lots of P.T. to get the muscle back.
Since that point, I've had spells when I was so fatigued I had trouble lifting an arm off the bed, but again, hopefully those days are all long in the past.
I'm sure there are all sorts of reasons people can be bedridden from this disease, but this was what I went through personally.

I've been bed-ridden or nearly so off and on since 2000...all due to Lyme/co's.
Mostly from pain and/or weakness and/or fatigue.
Lasts from a few days to months at a time.
