I've been sick now for 7 years, three years in treatment.
Two years on oral medications. One year on rochepn/picc line. Now on bicillin shots now for about a month and I'm hurting really bad and depressed.
I wonder if I will ever get better..... Posts: 200 | From Nevada | Registered: Dec 2008

I so feel for you and can relate. Wish I could offer some help or good advice but have none. Some to get better but it takes a long time.
Do you have chronic lyme? At least you are trying. I gave up on antibiotics after a few months due to reactions or whatever. Then tried the more natural approach .. Still no big improvement. I feel my lack of improvement is I gave up to soon.
Stich with your meds and doctor's advice there is hope....

It does get depressing to be sick so long. I am going on three years, and I get frustrated and tired of pain and the limitations.
This is what I did that helped. Try to sit outside for 15 minutes. Better yet, try to walk, even if just down a few houses and back.
You may not be able to do these things. Find a few things for yourself that help take away the seeming "sentence" of Lyme. Music can be soothing.
I will be praying for you.

It's hard to wake up everyday mentally and physically in another place than the day before, wanting nothing but to be back to yourself and knowing the struggle ahead. I'm in it, hoping psych Meds can give me some peace to continue. Stick to it. there is remission. It's ahead, I had it a few times and it's just your life, you'll be back.

I know how you feel. It never seems to end. I have been treating four years. In fact, a couple of days from now is my "anniversary"; the day I first took doxy.
Although doxy made me so sick I was bed ridden for a month, I was elated that I had found out was wrong and expected a quick recovery - no more than six months. I was wrong but I never stopped being optimistic - you can't give up hope.
This time of year is especially bad. Not only is it cold and cloudy outside but the infections seem to thrive in the gloom. I always get much worse in winter.
Hang in there. We will all get better - it just takes time.
