A good friend has a relative that has his own business doing...I don't know what to call it... But since I can't afford to see an LLMD, I'm grasping at straws trying to find something, anything, that can help me.
I made an appointment for this evaluation and figured it can't hurt. Here is what the website says about what he does:
"...We use autonomic response testing (ART), an advanced form of muscle testing, to get to the root causes behind your symptoms. We specialize in clients who have tried everything and still have room for improvement, who want to correct any imbalances in their health situation, and are interested in reachinga deep level of health and vitality.
Autonomic response testing is cost effective, non invasive, and research supported, and it allows us to get a deep sense of what is going on in the body. Using ART, we can get good information about a variety of issues, such as nutrient deficiencies, food allergies, pathogens (Lyme, parasites, etc.), major toxin issues (lead, mercury, pesticides, etc.), biochemical imbalances (hormonal, metabolic, etc.), and energetic and emotional blockages.
We use a variety of completely individualized holistic protocols, with recommendations about diet, exercise, stress reduction, creating a healthy home environment, herbs and supplements, etc."
Does this sound reasonable? I have to admit, I am a bit leery of holistic type medicine, but only because I have no experience with it at all.

I checked out the video on you tube. This is very interesting. I'd like to find a doctor who could do this if it really works. Does anyone else have any input??

If he does ART, he may have studied with with Dr. K (famous LLMD in WA) to learn it, since Dr. K developed ART. If so, he may have learned some about lyme disease.
Not everyone who learns ART also learns about lyme disease, and it's important to have a good lyme-literate doctor...but it's possible that he has gotten some training on lyme. Ask if he's taken any of the trainings on lyme.
I've benefited a great deal from ART. Honestly, at times I've wondered how anyone knows what's happening with a patient without using ART.
However, the practitioner makes a huge difference, as it must be someone with the knowledge to understand the connections, potential issues, etc. Otherwise it is meaningless and won't be done in any helpful way.
I hope this is a good fit for you. I've wondered how you've been MamaBear -- good to see you here, though sorry you are still suffering. Best wishes for your healing process.

I'd be interested in hearing how it turns out for you as I'm in the Northeast too and have been looking for someone who does ART--

I'm curious how this goes for you. I was thinking of watching all the art videos on youtube to see it in action.

He does actually seem to know a lot about Lyme and said it's what he specializes in. I spoke with him on the phone for a bit.) He is finishing up his masters program soon, and the program he studied is Dr K's, though I don't know if he actually studied with him or not.
I'll try very hard to remember to come back here after to update on how it went.
