First of all, how do I list my protocol so it shows up every time I post on the bottom of the page?
I was dxd with Bart 2 yrs ago after 14 yrs of illness. Most of my symptoms are nuero.
Now that I reflect back on my symptoms over the years I believe I have coinfections as well. Dr B says that this is always the case. I had slight vertigo for a year. I had air hunger for a 2 month period. Tremors, twitching and heavy limbs and facial muscles. These are my least prevelant symptoms but I believe it may not be Bart causing it.
My doc never discussed coinfections with me. Back when I first started treating Bea commented on my treatment and pointed out that she was puzzled by why we were just going after Bart.
Here is my protocol. Am I being treated for coinfections?
Oral Treatments 10-10 thru 2-11 Biaxin / Tindamax
3-11 thru 5-11 Factive
Stopped for 3 months
9-11 thru 11-11. Factive / Rifampin
11-11 thru 1-12 IV Rocephin / tindamax
1-12 thru present IV Rocephin / Flagyl / factive
-------------------- Neuro symptoms since 1995. Dx'd Bart in 10-09. Biaxin/Tindamax 10-10 thru 2-11 Factive 3-11 thru 5-11 Factive/ Rifampin 9-11 thru 11-11 IV Rocephin/ Tindamaz. 11-11 thru 1-12/ IV Rocephin/ Flagyl / Factive 1-12 thru present Posts: 69 | From Florida | Registered: Dec 2009

Looks like you're being treated for bart (rifampin & factive) and bart is a coinfection.
You may want to be checked for babesia (heavy limbs, air hunger, dizziness).
Go to your profile and look for "signature" to get your info there.
My Profile Edit Profile Look for "signature" .. type it in
Then submit or whatever it says.

You are also being treated for lyme. That's what flagyl and tindamax are for--they kill lyme in the cyst form. And IV rocephin and biaxin kill lyme in its regular form.
So, your doc has treated you for 2 out of the big 3. You can ask to add in some babesiosis treatment and see what happens.
I suggest that each time the doctor changes your meds you ask, "And what diseases are these meds attacking?"
This way, you will always know what disease/diseases are being treated. It helps to understand what the doctor is doing.
