My doc believes with my constant severe encephalitis, it's time to go on IV. I've been on orals for about eight months, right now trying to get on zith, the only way I can do it is by little 1/8 of a pill increases at a time, still the head pressure and pain is so severe that I'm completely unfunctionable, and don't think I'll make it most of the time.(and don't want to)
Question is, if I can barely take a sliver of a pill how on earth am I going to be able to tolerate a dose of rocephin? Please let me know what happened when you started. Thanks.

I have been on iv rocephin since october. My herxes on iv have been much much milder than orals and injections. I'm not saying this will be the case for you but I am just letting you know that's how it was with me. but I was never so sensitive that I had to take a sliver of a pill.
