i ended up with 15 mg armour and 5 mg cortef a day based on testing thyroid and how i felt-esp sleeping

do you thing this small amt is doing anything?

3 times when i stopped the cortef i crashed...all kinds of things went wrong

now my thyroid test is alway perfect...b4 neds it was borderline and after awhile at 45 mg the test showed i nedded to cut it back

i,m also wondering if you take them together or away from food or something else...

i have to change things if i am going to detox at night

thank you.

you should take armour thyroid 1hr before breakfast or 2hrs after eating. I think cortef can be taken with or without food.

hmm maybe they are ramping up your Armour? I mean I take 90mcg of T3 , with an additional 1.5 grains of Armour....so 15 mcg is def very small amount.

You should post your Thryoid numbers-- "borderline" can mean BIG problems for some, the normal range is a bit ridiculous.

It does take a while to kick in though....?

when i first started it -over 10 yrs ago my llmd was really careful about dose and test numbers

60 was way too much but 30 wasnt enogh

so i was on 45 for a long time

then i had troubel with insomnia and we figured out i could sleep and get a normal test number with 15

i cant dig the tests out now and i forget them-just that docs-even primaries get all excited if it is not with in normal range

thanks to both of you
