That's great! My daughter did very well on cryptolepis!

You can get it on www.woodlandessence.com if they have it in stock. I think they are taking advance orders.

Haley ,
How much are you taking ? How long have you taken it ?

Where do you buy it ? Do you have multiple infections? Does crypto hit lyme also ? It is used for babs mostly ?

HI Annxyzz,

I just posted a question asking what dosage are people taking of crypto.

Cryto-plus is suppose to be for Babs but I'm sure it hits other stuff.

I took this a long time ago with Mepron and ended up with a head to toe rash, went to the ER it was so bad.

Of course, I didn't know at the time that the rash was from Lomatium, an ingredient in the crypto-plus. Of course, I stopped taking it... however I always remembered how great I felt just before I broke out in the rash. My brain actually worked!! I figured it was the Mepron.

I called the Doc that makes crypto-plus and he said to re-start slowly and I should not get the rash again. So far so good. I'm up to 40 drops, we'll see what happens.

Haley,

Why do you think lomatium caused the rash?

It's a known fact that lomatium can cause a rash in about 1% of the people (I think it is more than 1%).

I'm feeling really sick today so I have to take back my comments about how great I feel on Crypto. I'm hoping this will pass.

Cryptolepis is used along with other Babesia treatments (like malarone or Mepron+Zith). It did not cause any kind of herx for me.

It helps to reduce severity of chills and night sweats. That is all I have noticed from it. I've been taking 1tsp TID.

I have a severe case of Babs, but Cryptolepsis had no effect at all when I took it. I used it twice.

Everyone is different. I hope it helps you!

Interesting how people are affected so differently.

I began herxing 3 hours after I took it for the first time which has never happened to me.

How is it going for you so far?

How exciting! I remember Dr. H talking about crypto at the recent ILADS conference, but my LLMD hadn't heard of it.
I am glad it is available for purchase online!

Larae,

Woodland Essence or Green Dragon Botanicals. Both are out of stock right now, as is often the case with this as it's in very short supply and on a watch-list for protection of the species.

Manybites :
There is another babs herb you can check into advised by Buhner - sida acuta . I think woodland Essence has it .

This is not science , but my opinion - I suspect babs is hit by ivermectin . Do your own research.
