I have been having wierd skin issues since the beginning. Strange sores on my scalp that are tender to the touch and seem to cycle. Also having strange bumps and sores now all over my body. They are mostly small red bumps and they do itch. I have noticed an increase in these when I start on the flagyl( i currently take it 2x/day for 3 weeks then off 3, along with amox and doxy). Could all these skin issues be related to the lyme? If not, what the heck is going on? Most of the time my scalp is so tender it hurts to brush my hair,,,,and it's just icky feeling.

I kind of the same thing happen to me in the beginning.. They were sores that looked like mosquito bites and they would itch so bad! Then they would errupt or something! It was really gross! I was on NO meds at the time my skin was doing that! My head feels the same way it hurts really bad to even brush my hair sometimes:( I know exactly what you are going through!!!

Check into treating for parasites. These are some of the sores I experienced. Parasites/worms can play a MAJOR role in Lyme disease and are often overlooked by even LLMDs. Google parasite symptoms and do a search on here for parasites.

ok, thanks. I will check into that. I have an appt with my llmd again later this month and will bring it up to her too.
I have wondered if that could be a possibility but was frankly grossed out also to think it is that. But, I need to get this figured out, these meds obviously aren't taking care of it.
