The Feb/Mar edition has story on Lyme - on Page 4.

P.S. Went to new cardiologist yesterday (not LL), but he was very well versed in the disease, totally thinks all heart issues derived from tick. He was so sympathetic, actually listened, it is so refreshing after all the doctors ....
Tincup--Tx. Praying new echo is good. If not, he's gonna do internal echo? Says he will be able to see the valves so much better and how they're working.

Yep.
I also predict that next issue the AARP will discount chronic lyme, totally. The IDSA will not let his just slip by as something that exits. -

- I can't find a link. It's on page 4, in with the editorial section - of this month's "AARP Magazine" -
- it's really a sort of editor's musings, not so much an article as just an editorial note, sharing thoughts with readers, not intending to explore detailed information but a life lesson from observation or experience.
I searched the magazine's site with the title and came up with zero search results.
If you know anyone over the age of 50, and if they are AARP members, they will have received this magazine this week. -

I've often wondered if chemo or radiation would help get rid of lyme...guess not.

I have a friend who was almost dying of HEP C and took achemotherapy that KILLED the HEP C , and I have wondered if there is not a chemo that would kill lyme also.

I am sooo glad to hear of this! Not JUST because I'm a bonafide member of AARP, but because I worked one on one with Barry Rand, the Prez or CEO, at the AARP convention in Los Angeles and he was an OK dude. I don't know how much he actually has to do with the magazine, but what the hell, he gets the big bucks, he's technically responsible for it ALL, so he should get some sort of Kudos.

Additionally, in the same issue of the AARP magazine, on the last page birthdays are listed. Amy Tan (age 60) is noted as a Lyme activist.
