Hi everyone,

The left side of my face is visibly "droopy" compared to my right side.

It has gotten better because I have treated but since I am still very sick, I am hoping this along with everything else will get better.

It would be nice to hear from folks who have had this problem resolve with successful treatment.

Thank you.

I had a mild bilateral bells palsy (called facial drooping) before I ever even knew I had lyme.

I had it for 3 solid years. I considered getting a face lift because it made me look like I was scowling all the time. I had no idea what it was.

Then, after having this for 3 years, I woke up one morning and IT WAS GONE!!!!

So, just wanted you to know that it can also spontaneously resolve at any time without treatment or anything.

It was a few years after that that I found out I had lyme. I went undiagnosed for at least 10 years.

In about a month, it will be 7 years since I completed my lyme treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life, and praising God for my deliverance from this horrendous disease.

Thank you TF for that comment! It gives me REAL hope.

I do not have full Bell's Palsy (face drooping).

Howeverthe left side of it has been numb since the second month on ABX, very slight sag.

I have a little of the drooping on both sides. One side has the numb/tingling feeling.

We were at an event last year where the rest of family had to sit elsewhere. I looked back at my mom, sister and MIL. All had very pronounced jowls. My MIL's were the worst and she is the sickest of them all.

I think the jowl drooping is a big indicator of infection and/or inflammation. When you get rid of these, then the drooping should resolve.
