Does anyone have any advice on reducing hip pain? I was diagnosed with lyme over a year ago, went on 2 months of IV, then orals & was feeling great until the fall, when I started having hip pain. My ortho found nothing wrong & my lyme dr. put me back on orals but it keeps getting worse & I am now in terrible pain all the time.

I hope you do not have babesia hiding and building up or bartonella as well.Look for coinfections. When I treated for babesia the hip pain left so did the internal vibration between my thighs.SO pay attention that you can have coinfections as it never is just lyme. You might have a strong immune and is keeping it at the hips but overtime it will move to the upper part of the same side in the brain ( inner ear) and the arm and face same side as the hip.Treat it before it spread over the upper part of the body and look for the coinfections. I recall all my stages of LYME being spread into my body and short after that in a couple of years bartonella was spreading ( now I know it was bartonella ) than low fever started and babesia spreaded .WHen bartonella is in the system and spread first it opens the doors to lyme and babesia.
SEARCH for bartonella or FRY BUG as you might have it.

This may sound counterintuitive, move often. Don't stay in one position for long periods of time. Staying in one position will make you hurt worse (this includes laying still in bed, on the couch, or in the recliner....).
Move and reposition yourself even if it hurts to do so (it will probably hurt at first). You will hurt less later if you make an effort to change positions and move every 30-60min.
You could also try applying heat to the area. That should help relieve the pain also.
For me, Bartonella was the cause of this symptom and my deep unbearable bone pain. It was excruciating. Keep treating.
Take care.
