So I got a nasty cold ladt Monday. The worst one I have had in awhile! Although I was hacking and sneezing and coughing... I felt great no Lyme symptoms at all. I felt normal. Now the cold is on its way out.. Back to Lyme world... Sigh..

I hear ya! I got my first cold in 2 years back in November after visiting family for Thanksgiving.

Felt miserable and it put me in bed for 3 days, but it just felt good having a "normal cold."

My CD57 is at 323 so I know my immune system is much improved.

Still strugglin', though, in lyme world like you ..take care.

Tricia, Don't know if this is you, but years ago when I lived in Ohio, I had really bad sinus trouble most of the year. Sometimes 2 weeks in bed, I couldn't stand to hear someone speak loudly.

But when I got a cold I was so happy because I felt 'well', no dull on-going headache and all the misery of sinus trouble.

I don't have the devastating sinus problems now that I live in California. Of course I have Lyme & Co., which is even worse.

how could Lyme go on vacation when you have a cold....

Not saying it didn't happen , but WHAT made that happen

It seems to say What to us.....in head....other antibodies kick in???...

.I've not felt better with LD when also fighting
something else...

Just feel like should be in hospital ,but now , with diagnoses,,I can't say what's going on all the way and don't need ridiculed at this point.

So I stick it out at home and hope to make it through.

Like today ,I just pulled out of a 14 plus hour disturbed sleep/sweats/ pain in thigh , plus the usual.....

Thought any other time or person would be somewhere getting help..

I'm still not OK, but at least got some liquids in ,some of my meds, which are a day and half late, and lay here wondering what the H__l is going on.

I can't get even basic's done..........
Great here come thesweats again..See ya

When the body has an acute infection, it really kicks into gear. Other stuff may lie low. Remember that borrelia does not want to kill its host body. So, it defers to the cold, lets your body take care of that and then borrelia can come back out and play.

This is how I once heard/saw it explained.

But my reality has never been that daily symptoms ever went away when I had a cold or flu. It was all just piled right on top.
