Hi all,

Sorry to be so blunt but I'm getting very discouraged. I read posts daily to see if anyone is as bad as my son. Haven't found anyone yet...beginning to wonder if its not something else.

Again, my son (21) diagnosed Dec. '09, all bands positive plus RMSF.

Been treating since, on 3rd LLMD. Has been on EVERYTHING

Currently he's out of it, doesn't speak, cannot be left alone, justs sits or walks in circles. He just doesn't seem to be getting anywhere.

How long do we have to wait for somthing positive. Every now and then we think that just MAYBE something is getting better and then BAM...goes back to his "normal"

If anyone is this bad, please let me know how/if you got better. Then again, if you are this bad you wouldn't be able to answer this.

his mom

I was drooling in my chair a couple of years ago. People thought I had Altzheimer's. When I was treated for babesia with mepron and artemesinin, I had easily the worst headache of my life and it went on for some time. I knew that it must be eradicating the microbes so I didn't even care, was even glad.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I know someone who had great success when he saw a naturopath after years of ABX. If you have tried all of the ABX, perhaps you would want to go that route.

The other thought is to try to find a Lyme aware neurologist (which maybe you have tried...)

Keep us posted.

I believe I've heard of similar reactions and the problem was heavy metal toxicities, including dental amalgam. Some people are very allergic to mercury.

My son had undiagnosed bart for 4 years. He was mentally ill, treated with anti-psychotics, incapable of school or rational thought.

He was lucky, in the end, that it was only bart. It only took a month of zith to beat it. He's largely recovered in the last couple of years to his former wonderful self.

Not the same thing as your son, and if he has lyme, bart, and RMSF he's going to be much harder to treat. But you already know that.

The point is that they can get better.
