I am the opposite of you in many ways. Too high a bp (anywhere from i.e. 135-154/85-94), and either too high or too low a pulse (i.e. 68-120
+ bpm). When I was hospitalized in 2009 due to tachycardiac issues, my pulse was cooking in the high 150's/160 bpm.

We with Lyme/tbd tend to have numerous issues with our hearts.

What is your dx? Do you have any thyroid-related issues, or issues with your blood glucose levels?

Have you considered seeing a cardiologist for piece of mind/reassurance?

Try to hang in there...I find that my heart issues are the most stressful symptoms that I have due to Lyme/tbd.

Go see a cardiologist. Lyme has induced a syndrome in me called POTS. It means postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Basically my Heart rate is always high and my blood pressure is always low, like 80s over 60s sometimes. When you get up, does your heart rate speed up even more? I take a beta blocker to control it and it doesnt bother me much anymore. Its a form of dysautonia caused by lyme. It *should* resolve when lyme is eradicated and your body has a chance to recover.

Did you recently take coartem? It sounds like it may be a herx from something. That's what mine was.

Definitely get checked out if you haven't. My cardiologist told me that my heart was strong enough to handle being a bit fast and not to worry about it. It's not dangerous as long as your heart is good.

I find that magnesium glycinate keeps it from going crazy.

Anything over 90 (HR) makes me not feel well. That's my normal BP.

Get it checked out just to make sure. If it's over 100 (HR) then it's officially tachycardia.

Feel better soon!! [Smile]

Relax for a bit, then take it again.

It may be POTS. Definitely Lyme-related.

Babesia is my worst culprit for heart abnormalities.

Magnesium relaxes the smooth muscles. The heart depends on it.

Also, sodium can raise low blood pressure.

Take some electrolytes. That alone often regulates the heart rhythm.

Are you hydrated?

Don't panic. But don't hesitate to go to the ER if you are scared.

Keep us posted.
