I've used enzymes like Wobenzym to dissolve biofilm. Dunno about its effect on mucus. But NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) is known to loosen mucus. NAC also dissolves biofilm.

I have read that it helps with biofilm. I hope it is helping dissolve bio film but I use it to minimize my lower leg edema and pain. It does work for me and I get it at iherb.
All the Best, MattH

I started it for my sinuses (pressure, headaches etc.) a week or 2 ago on advice of acupuncturist and it seems to be helping (I'm on a few other things for sinus problems also.) I'm taking 1 capsule (40,000 units) 3 times a day. I was told to be sure to take on an empty stomach. I don't think it was very expensive.
