I'm getting so annoyed. Every single pharmacy doesnt have nystatin 500,000 units anywhere.
Ive called like every single one around the area and theyre all telling me that its on backorder and they keep ordering it and it isnt coming in because of problems with the manufacturer/ supplier
what should I do. Did any of you have this problem. How can I get it?!?! what should I take instead?!?! i take oregano and olive leaf too.

- Can you get other strengths of Nystatin tablets, then? Powder?
Are you taking SEAGATE OLE (or the combination Myrolea-B?). Some others may be strong enough but I find these two to be far better than others I've used. -

My pharmacy had trouble filling my order. Can't imagine why this drug would be back ordered...

- If they do not make much money on it, perhaps they are not making as much for the Rx..
Some childhood cancer drugs are now in very short supply. The ones that are generic are at greater risk of short supply, across the board.
Some companies are just stopping production of certain generics.
You might search the manufacturer for the nystatin your pharmacy uses and find out the reason for the shortage. -

We had a compounding pharmacy make capsules from the liquid version, which is still available. Of course you could just take the liquid instead, but the taste was too strong for my kids. Your regular pharmacy can probably tell you where the closest compounding pharmacy is, and can transfer your prescription there.

The CVS where I get my scripts has been out of this med two months in a row. They located a sister store that is about 20 minutes away from me where I have picked it up both times. They assure me it will be in next month.
I am not sure where you are located. The store that had it was in Somerset, MA.

Any further update or info on what is happening with the nystatin tablets?? I'm about to go back on treatment and will need them. Anything that is not generic, I pay through the nose for in co-pays. Compounded meds, if they cover them, are $75 per month co-pay.
Where can you still get the generic tablets?
I'll have to try the above links, if my local pharmacy can't get them. However, the above website listings may not be accurate now. Plus, they don't have the number of pills my dr rx'ed available on their online check list. Not sure how reliable these companies are anyway. Thank you, guys!

I just ordered my refill online thru Caremark. So far, so good. I have not heard from them saying it's not in stock or anything.
I hope to receive it late next week.

Oh, I so hope that you are right that they are available, Lymetoo!
It's unreal how many generics are not being made anymore, and there is nothing you can do about it. I've been waiting on another med that I need, and it is not clear if or when it will be made again. They say that it should have been available in January, but the date it should be available has come and gone with no notice about if or when it will be available.
