I have some residual swelling in my knee even though I have been off treatment for three months. Is this normal and permanant or does it eventually subside?

i had it for slightly longer than a year and a half. I was on doxy for two months and then I went back on it about a month ago. So I am 3 months in. I dont know why they are putting me back on it because if the bacteria weren't succeptible to it the first two times I doubt that they would be this time around.
Also I am taking probiotics, cats claw, and teasel.

I agree with Lymetoo -
According to this reputable author, one would need to be on abx for 1 1/2 years to get it all and I don't think that includes cysts. The paper explains the technical details.

Thanks TerryK for a great article. One of the best I have seen. I second these folks... I think you need more treatment... possibly different drugs. My knees have been a BIG lyme tell tale and I am on Bicillin IM shots and they are keeping them normal- praise God.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
