All,

I'm searching for the best probiotic out there. I know that Dr B recommends PRO BIO from Pharmanex. I was wondering if you all have had success with this or other brands?

Thanks

Bacterial? VSL #3 DS - by prescription only, twice as strong as regular VSL #3. However, if you have good prescription drug coverage, it only cost as much as your brand-name copay. For me, that's less than any of the other $50+ high-end probiotics, plus since the regular strength VSL #3 has 450 billion units (if I recall correctly) selected from many of the best species and that's more than just about any other bacterial probiotic around, many can take half a packet a day during antibiotic therapy of the DS and still be way "on top".

Fungal? Pretty much this comes down to Saccharomyces boulardii , so try to find some sort of preparation that has high-quality organism without a lot of filler. There are many out there.

Lymetoo covered many of the other high-end offerings and many of them would likely work for you.

Very correct about the VSL#3 DS version! Cheapest and best way to go ..

I had to stop doing that as I am now dairy free. ( [cussing] )

All those mentioned above, but I like Researched Nutritionals' Prescript Assist Pro. My doc recommends it, as well as Dr. B.

Vegan and soil based, so doesn't need refrigeration.

I have Prescript Assist too. The jury is still out on that one (for me). Hope it works!

I just started Benebiotics. Too soon to see any results, but it seems to have good ingredients.
