Country Life Coenzyme B Complex, plus MethylFolate, plus methyl-B12 injections...

I'm slowly working my way up to being able to do the coenzyme B complex, I have to go s-l-o-w-l-y due to methylation issues.

I have no financial connections with any products/companies listed in this post...

I've been taking Twin-Lab B-50s for decades! One of the few preparations that includes the B-vitmain PABA. It's available in the 100 mg dose as well. Bluebonnet, which is a spin-off company of Solgar, makes a comparable preparation.

The B vitamns are "synergistic." That is, they all work together, and are found together in nature. Bs are water soluable, and are important catalysts for many bio-chemical body processes. They are important for producing energy and for promoting efficient digestion.

Since they are routinely eliminated in water, it is important to ingest a source of Bs every day. Traditionally our main sources were whole grains, as the Bs are contained in the outer covering of the grain. But when millers first introduced white flour and white rice (about 100 yrs ago), which were refined solely to promote "shelf life," diets were stripped of Bs.

Famed nutritionist Adele Davis warned that TAKING JUST ONE (or two) of the nearly 20 known
B-vitamins, can actually CAUSE a DEFICIENCY of the B vitamins that you are NOT dosing.
She said that since Bs work together, an overload of one will cause your body to seek traces of the others (that might be available in body cells), so as to be able to assimilate the Bs that have been overdosed.

Bs also work synergistically with Vitamin C (which is also water soluable), and taking B complex can increase the efficiency of both these vitamins.

Dr. Davis wrote that in a B-vitamin deficiency, the body cells will take on water, trying to find Bs. If you seem to be retaining water (swollen ankles or bloating) it may be a sign that your body is B-complex deficient.

When I first started taking B-complex (in my late 20s), a few days later I saw my ankle bones for the first time in years!

If you are wondering why your doctor may have only recommend one or two B vitamins - consider this - most physicians earn a degree to practice medicine without having ever taken ONE COURSE in NUTRITION! Up until a few years ago, it was never a required course at med school. Now, only a few schools include nutrition as part of the required curriculum.

Can you imagine studying how to heal the body, without ever understanding the basics of how the body is nourished? I can't.
