My husband took the Azithromycin 500mg orally for 21 days. Now hes getting ready to start the Zith IV, 500 mg. I'm just curious as to how they compare to each other. I'm worried about him herxing on the IV. He didn't with the oral. Any ideas?

I've done both. Actually, running my IV as I type. Down to my last 3 weeks of this with malarone. I have had much more benefit from IV than oral. It really gets to places that oral does not.
He may herx.

My husband did several months of IV Zith (combined with malarone for babesia) and did great on it.
