Is there anything that can be inferred from the time it takes one's culture to show growth?

Some folks' cultures have taken two weeks. Mine went into the tenth week.

Different strains? Strengths? Numbers? Anything? Thoughts?

So yours took 10 weeks to show growth? I have no idea. Did you have the extended (pcr) testing? My husband was positive in about two weeks. This is from someone who has had 6 years of abx including IV. He was off abx for only 4 weeks. We are currently waiting for follow on testing...let you know the strain when we get that info.

Yes - ten weeks. I did not think the extended tests were available at this time. What others tests do you refer to?

I think I have had LD for six years. Maybe 16.
Past three years much more off than on Abx.
IVIG past 1.1/2 years - low dose - on/off.
(Now I intend to stay on as I have Dx finally and no need for more testing).

Yes, merrygirl, off abx at least 4 weeks. Other conditions must be met re shipping, collection. Google the lab name, the link to lab has been posted several times.
