Well got the results today. I can't believe it is 26. Doc is concerned, so he has me on Cellular Forte which has Inositol and IP-6 in it. Anyone have luck with this supplement?

He also wants to make sure CD57 isn't low due to candida. I'm riddled with it and he says it can affect the test. I will be back on Diflucan and adding activated charcoal to help with the detox.

Anything else I can do to try and up my number? He doesn't want to put me back on ABs for Lyme until he makes sure it isn't anything else.

One other thing. He is retesting me after we try to up it. He said that I am not to exercise for two days before the test because exercise can reduce the immune response. Thought that was interesting.

My CD57 tested at 26 also, twice, after 2 years and after 2 1/2 years on abx.

I feel fine now, off abx, after 2 years with the GB4000 rife machine, but i haven't had any more CD-57 tests.

Re: "Anything else I can do to try and up my number?"

I've always heard a good-Q "Cat's Claw" supplement- made from the plant's inner bark- helps boost the CD-57 subset (of white blood cells). I always did the capsules every day, per my LLND, esp when my count had dropped below 40.

Countrymouse:

If you have the usual lyme symptoms and those results from igenix and your doctor is trying to 'make sure it's lyme' then it's time IMHO to find a new LLMD.

One that's actually literate with the disease.

Most LLMD's will treat for months or years, having diagnosed the disease clinically - all without a positive lyme test. You have a positive lyme test. You need abx, and a new doctor.

My $.02

Tickbitt, actually I feel fairly well after 4 months of AB treatment. And I know I have the candida everywhere including my skin because we have determined that the rash is yeast related. To boot I have a big belly right now, another tip that yeast is the problem. LDN which I am on does make candida worse, so I am all for trying other stuff before going back on ABs and potentially making the yeast worse.

The CD-57 was from Lab Corp, and my Lyme tests from Igenex. As I understand it, the CD-57 can be lowered for several reasons. Lots of docs use it for a Lyme check but there are other reasons too. Let me know if that info isn't right though.

I hear you, and appreciate your input and honest advice!! Thanks!

Manybites, you mention that several family members had Lyme in their livers. How did you find that out? Just curious. Did they culture a biopsy or something?
