Ive noticed I always feel worse during the winter months. I tend to feel pretty good in the spring and summer and fall. However when its REALLY hot out in the summer I get really HOT. Ive noticed my heat tolerance since having this whole lyme ordeal is really bad.
Anyone else have the same problems???

Me Right after my fever at age 20 I felt better in summer. But sicker and worst in winter.
Lyme did not exsploded than but the coinfections yes were my problem.
When lyme exsploded fully I was sick all year around.
Before lyme I could handle sun all day along and loved the sun and being in the beach for hrs.

Late fall, all of winter and the very hot, humid days of summer always made my child feel the worst.
This year so far (fall and winter) there has been no decline. We've had a very mild winter though so not sure if that's a factor. Will be interesting to see how this summer heat and humidity goes.
If I remember correctly, I think I read that it is very common to feel worse in the fall in particular because the spirochetes multiply the most during those months--my memory could be wrong, but that is what I remember reading.
Hope you feel better soon!

I do too. I think it's the dry air from heating the house. I always feel better when I go outside, even if I have to shovel snow. The air is crisp and clean and makes me feel good.

who doesn't feel worse in the winter? cold, short days, all that holiday stress. this is one thing I am not sure we can blame on lyme... although I do believe winter makes everything worse.

I can't handle any temperature extremes since falling ill. I have a low range of tolerance.

My LLMD had warned me that people tend to feel worse in the winter, and I would agree with her in my case.
I agree with Vit. D supplements, and getting a small amount of sunshine on the face when possible. Just watch your abx to see if you can get any sun.

My low body temp makes winter unbearable and isn't it true the ketes like it cold?
I take really hot epsom baths and feel better right after.

I agree with docluddite ... have you ever had your vitamin D levels tested? It sounds like Seasonal Affective Disorder Disease (SADD), which is merely low vitamin D when you're not getting exposure to direct sunlight in winter months.
Try taking Cod Liver Oil (I like the Carlson brand way better than others, comes in a green glass bottle), and/or visiting a sun tan booth.
Some people say that "Light boxes" help too.

I cannot handle any heat or humidity and because I am so paranoid about ticks, I hike during the winter. However, once I get cold I have trouble recovering, so I have to bundle up in a major way.
I feel better with more vitamin D, either through the skin or in pill form, but too much D makes me sick so I only take D once or twice a week.
LDN has helped my winter depression too.

I have been treating four years. Every spring, except last year in the pits of babesia treatment, I get much better and in the fall I begin to decline. Winter is miserable. I have thought taking a winter trip south of the equator might cure me.
When I was having borellia flares, they ALWAYS corresponded with the full moons. If there was an eclipse, it was awful. So it just makes sense to me that these pathogens cycle with the sun and moon. Why not? Plants know. Animals that hibernate or migrate know. Why not the bugs inside of us.

Is it bad in winter regardless of where you live? Ihave a fantasy of moving to sunny CA, maybe San Diego where I hear it is sunny and 75 degrees year round. But do you feel bad in winter no matter where you live?

I feel worse in the summer, as I can't take the heat, humidity, and direct sun. I use to love it. My body temp typically runs on cold so you'd think the cold winters here would be miserable. I do have a severe lack of vitamin D even though I spend a great deal of time outside year round. PCP has me on 50,000 iu of D twice a week for 8 weeks. I hear the lack of D is typical of Lyme, but not according to my PCP, who won't acknowledge chronic lyme.
