I posted earlier about wondering about a delayed herx on Tindamax (month three). That has subsided, but now I have a question about another possible delay:

For the first three months or so, I did not experience any loss of appetite from the med. My stomach felt tight on the days I took it (3 on; 4 off), but I was still hungry.

Now i am in month four (I think) and even on the OFF days, I don't feel like eating.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

Thank you,
Julie

This is why we had to take our daugher off Tindamax.

We were managing the alergic itching reaction (not well but as best we could) but in the end she was starving so we had to stop.

At one point she had lost 3 pounds in a two week period and we just stopped the medication. It took about 6 weeks b/4 her appetite returned. In all her weight peaked at 92 lbs and was down to 72 pounds when we stopped the tindamax.

I'm not sure where she was in the meds when she was at 92 but she was pulsing tindamax (2 days out of 7) for just over 6 months.

Our one fear is we stopped too soon from the cyst busting standpoint.

She continues on Mepron and Zithromax as the LLMD indicates the mepron has cyst busting properties (although I can not find any scientif evidence to support this).

Hope this helps and anexoria is a know side effect of tindamx.

Thank you for the "UP"; it seemed to help get some responses!!

I appreciate the feedback. I had read that it anorexia could be a side effect, so I was sort of pleasantly surprised when I didn't experience it. (I have inexplicably lost a lot of weigh on this last round of meds., prior to the Tindamax.)

I will see how I fare this next month; I do see my LLMD in a few weeks.

Thank you!

Julie

I'm going on this in a month.

I am having horrible issues w/ appetite. I am on cefdinir, azithromycin, doxy, and just added rifampin a few days ago.

I feel AWFUL and have had no appetite since rifampin. I feel sick to my stomach and have bad nausea. I couldn't help but wonder, 'omg, what is it doing to be like when they add tindamax?'

ughhhhhhhhh

sending you healing hugs
