I was just wondering if anyone has used this before? It is supposed to help regulate my ANS.

Lauren,

I'm not familiar with it but has your ILADS-educated LLMD recommended this? If not, I would ask your LLMD.

Mestinon (Pyridostigmine bromide)

My son was on mestinon for a year due to ANS. It was the only thing that moved his stomach. Nothing else worked.

Once his Lyme disease got in check he was able to wean off of it.

Keebler-Dr. H from CA put me on it. He is a LLMD. I will check the side effects... Sounds scary!!!

I started it yesterday with no change so far.

Thank you very much for the resources and advice I appreciate it.

Ktkdommer- did he have any side effects short/long term?
Thanks

Lauren-
No side effects what so ever. Only good results. He mostly took it to move the frozen stomach- gastroparesis which went along with his POTS.

Lauren,

You are in good hands with Dr. H. Excellent reputation. Glad to hear of ktkdommer's son's experience, too.

As with the report of any side-effects, there are always mitigating circumstances (some of which we just can't know).

As long as your LLMD is guiding you with a total protocol and support measures, you can breathe more easily.

How is this different from something like Reglan or Donperidon?

I have horrrible stomach problems (chronic constipation). Lauren I see Dr H too, and we haven't tried this yet for my GI trouble.
