Gastro doc just told me my pancreas is not working correctly. I did have a very serious bout of pancreatitis that I was in the hospital for almost 3 years ago....but now it seems my pancreas is not producing the enzymes it needs to. Sorry to be gross- but have "fecal fat" aka malabsorption.
Wants me to start a prescription called "Zenpep".
It is Lipase, Amylase and Protease.
Anyone heard of it?????

That should help... enzymes in general should help.

You may also want to try a gluten free diet if you haven't already.

Hope you feel better soon!!

I had pancreas problems. Increased enzymes and increased liver enzymes with it.
I have had low enzymes too. I do know a couple people who take pancreas enzymes. I don't remember my dr. being too upset about my enzymes being low, just the high numbers bothered him. Maybe my enzymes were not that low.
