Hi folks, The terrible IDSA guidelines were due to be reviewed and updated in order to remain on the National GUidelines Clearinghouse website. Being on that website has given them a government stamp of approval.
But with typical arrogance the IDSA falsely claimed that they had reviewed and updated the guidelines. The NGC accepted this and has put the guidelines on their website, thereby approving the 2006 guidelines AS IS for the next 5 years.
If this is allowed to stand, it means five more years of IDSA guidelines causing us to be turned down for treatment and to do without research money for a cure for chronic Lyme disease.
Please sign the petition at www.lymedisease.org THere's a link on the upper right hand side. The petition has full info about the situation. Please send the petition to all your friends and family. Thanks, Ellen

Abxnomore, Thanks so much. This is the most urgent grass roots issue I've seen in years.
For people who sent this out to their lists already, you might want to send it once more. I did with my group then when I spoke with some individually they hadn't even seen it. These things easily get lost when people are busy. Ellen

Please keep this up. Getting signatures on a petition is about the simplest advocacy action we can take. And this petition is about the most important issue I've seen in years. If we do not get the IDSA Lyme guidelines taken down, we will spend five more years without research money for a cure for chronic Lyme disease.
If you have not yet signed the Lyme petition please do so and send it to every one you know.

Post the link on this Huffington Post article.
It takes but few minutes of your time but can go a long way in helping our cause and educating the public.
