Although I don't really have an answer for you about the BBB, I'm sorry to hear about what you are going through. Of course, you have every right to be upset.
It sounds like you are in the hands of a good dermatologist now. I'm not familiar with your exact situation. Is a follow-up or consultation scheduled? Do you need to consider consulting with an oncologist at this time?
Regarding the SCC and your concerns, if you need some questions answered or support in that regard, the American Cancer Society has a number to call: 1-800-227-2345.
Just trying to clarify: Is your stomach shot from the ABX for the Lyme treatment? Maybe you need some gut healing and a break. Maybe you need some ABX that won't rip you up so badly.
What usually helps you for calming your nerves and your mind? Ever try Rescue Remedy (a Bach Flower tincture), I've found it helpful. It has a high alcohol content, so I just put a few drops on my wrists, and rub in.
Were the "awful thoughts", thinking you're losing your mind, and tremors part of your Lyme disease symptoms, or are thse new since your SCC surgery? The whole SCC experience can be greatly increasing your anxiety.
Please believe that hope exists through dark and scary hours. Many of us have been through these difficult experiences. If you have friends or relatives who can be supportive, that will be a great help.
Hope lives. Take care.

thank you very much for all your suggestions. will try to absorb it tomorrow.
i had to stop abx in jan. 2011 for lyme. took them for a year total. stomach situation was bad for as long as i can remember, but the abx made it worse, naturally regardless of amount of probiotics.
i will call ACS for counseling since my Dad died of melanoma metastasized to brain.
thank you, again, for your help. i am a firm believer in my faith .. it's my only salvation.
ps - went for a short drive with husband and it helped my present state.

I know how you feel about the cancer; I had cancer 3 times , 2 were skin cancer. All are cured ! I think you'll be OK .
I have also been dealing with lyme since 1992; I did well with treatment but in 2003 I got another infection or a relapse and am now treating that. It is very life changing but you must adapt for now .
