I haven't been reading the forum much in the last few months due to very few symptoms and then becoming pregnant. I wanted to post my story just to let out some frustration about what has happened.
Last week, at 8 weeks pregnant, I took a walk around my parent's property in North Texas. The next day I found two tick bites on my abdomen, with one tick still attached. I started taking Siberian Ginseng and ordered Ledum 1M Homeopathic remedy from the Hahnemann website. Per my Naturopathic LLMD's recommendation I rubbed Virginia Snake Root tincture on the bite sites.
About 36 hours later I stopped feeling nauseous and ranvenously hungry as I had been for many weeks due to the pregnancy hormones. I had my first ObGyn appt and ultrasound the next day and the fetus showed no heartbeat, and the doctor confirmed it was a miscarriage. I had started to develop a bullseye rash around both bites.
Most people that I've told don't believe me when I say that I believe the new tick bites directly caused this outcome, and really there is no definitive way to know. I already had Borrelia, Bart and Myco in my system and I'm 36, both of which raise the probability of miscarriage substantially.
My husband and I will try again after a round of treatment, so we do have hope that we'll eventually have a healthy child. This has just been a very unlucky coincidence that we'll have to put behind us emotionally. Thanks for listening, I appreciate this community very much and I have gained so much knowledge and felt so much support here.

I am so sorry for what has happened to you. I have had 3 miscarriages, all of them I think were caused by undiagnosed Lyme. Of course, there is no way to tell, but my heart tells me that this is the reason.
I had one successful pregnancy, and she is now 4. The one thing I did differently with her than the others is that I supplemented progesterone. I started bleeding early on with her, and my Naturopath/midwife tested me,and sure enough, my progesterone was incredibly low. It is a pill I took every morning (I think it was once a day, but not sure) from about 6 weeks until the beginning of the second trimester.
I DO know that Lyme is a wrecking ball on our hormones. And I know one other Lyme-lady who, after miscarriages, had a successful pregnancy with progesterone supplementation.
I know how devastating loosing a baby is, no matter how early in the pregnancy. Give yourself some space to grieve. If you don't allow yourself that now, it will only come back into your life at another time. Be gentle on yourself.

Poppy - I am not on any antibiotics, I have taken them in the past under the guidance of one of the only LLMD's in Texas, who has now been forced to quit practicing by the state medical board. I switched to a Naturopathic LLMD and had good results with his care of Cowden Protocol Herbs and homeopathics. I had actually been off everything for many months with very few symptoms when I got pregnant (Naturopathic LLMD recommended this). In researching exhaustively, my personal philosophy on treatment has swung to natural treatments. However I was prepared to go on Amox and Zith for the rest of the pregnancy if the fetus had survived. I am thinking about following a course of treatment with the PE-1 photons/nosodes in the near future and will go back on the full protocol that the Naturopath had me on.
Searching - I did supplement with progesterone cream early in the pregnancy, so that may be why I was able to successfully conceive. I will use it when we try again to make sure the fetus 'sticks' in the uterus. I feel like I haven't quite processed it all yet, but have lots of hope for the future, so that's good.
