Deep exhale. Well, it's been a year since I began treatment with my new doc. I am functioning pretty much at 100% most of the time and we are slowly weening me off the abx.

I have mostly normal brain function which is a feeling that is so profound it's hard to put into words.

I think that the main thing that has given me this progress is doing IM Bicillin. Also, recently I discovered that all these symptoms I was having were allergies to mold rather than lyme, so I am now working to create a healthy living environment and really focusing on boosting my immune system.

I should be weened off the IM Bicillin within 3 months. My intuition tells me that to remain symptom-free, having a superb immune system will be the key.

There is hope! and, I am proof.

well, I'm looking for a new home lol
in the meantime, I cleaned the place like a maniac and have an air purifier going all the time. It really helped.
I'm taking mega probiotics and echinecea/goldenseal to boost my immune system as well as being off sugar and I've started blending organic produce and some fruits.

That's funny. I am a super clean freak but you never know what lurking under and behind everything.

Can you recommend an air purifier? How much probiotics echinacea/ goldenseal ?

Any certain brands?

Sorry for all the questions but I really think that what your doing is important and sometimes are time with the md are so limited it's good to get the info for ourselves when we can.

Thanks:)

That's GREAT!!! [Smile]

You may also want to consider taking high doses of flagyl at the end to make sure you don't have any cysts that are active.

Just curious--what symptoms were you having that you thought were due to Lyme but turned out to be the mold allergy?

Congratulations SuperGirl! This is Super!!

The mold stuff is no laughing matter as I went through it last fall as well. It is hard to decipher what is mold and what is Lyme.

Good for you for taking the steps you have. Wishing you complete recovery and continued wellness... Blessings... [Smile]

Ahhh, thanks so much for the encouragement!

A lot of times I feel like this board is a "downer" because mostly sick people come here--many of the folks who are completely cured are off doing other things!
