Hi!

So my hubby, who has lyme, has never been able to wear a watch. Every watch he has worn will just randomly stop working after 2-3 weeks!

The same thing is true for his father and brother.

Does anyone know anything about a phenomenon like this, and whether it could be contributing to his illness?

There is a lot online about harmful effects of electricity on people who are over sensitive to that stuff. But is there something about a persons body having messed up electric fields?

Fascinating... Has he tried wearing an old-fashioned wind-up watch? Do those run properly for him & relatives?

There ARE different kinds of battery-powered watches: Some (the old ones) are mechanical in nature & just use tiny bits of battery juice to "shove" a tiny magnetic pendulum along.

Others (most) use a quartz crystal circuit, which either then drives the gear assembly
(i.e: the original 'Timex'es from the 1960s),
or works [electronically] to display time in the LCD [liquid crystal] window directly.
This is the most common kind found today.

Not heard of this phenomena you describe, though.

Not likely it's a good thing ...

Recently heard Dr. K. speak about ADH, antidiuretic hormone, and said one symptom of having low ADH is that it can cause people to blow out light bulbs when they turn on a light. I have seen this situation with one person where they have done that a number of times. She found treatment for ADH helpful.

The broader context of what he was saying is that there are a number of neuropeptide hormones where having it out of balance is both something caused by having lyme and also, something that it will be much easier to get over lyme if you fix it.

Just speculating, but perhaps this is a sign of wicked low ADH.

One treatment for low ADH is a homeopathic called "Homeo K ADH", available from BioPure in Europe (not the US BioPure).

Anyone heard of the body's Kirlian forces?
Google it. It can be photographed!
(Not sure if it'd kill a quartz crystal resonance, though)

Thanks for the ideas! Yeah, it is so bizarre to us. He never tried a windup watch. I will look into the ADH stuff though.

One trick to releasing built up "electricity" in the body is to walk barefoot on soil or grass in your backyard 15-20 minutes in the evening.

Americans wear shoes constantly and/or walk on concrete, tile, carpet, etc and we never experience true grounding with the earth (which has electrical current interactions with our bodies)

It seems silly... but see if it helps.
First thing you should notice is a calming effect, better sleep, and more.

Electromagnetic Frequency exposure from which there is little escaping today makes treating any disease much more difficult. Reducing exposure is in every protocol of Dr. K. I have posted these last few years. It was the first thing he told me about when I first saw him in 1998.

That goes parallel with toxic metals that are a part of our life today. I don't know any Lyme person who did not or does not have to work on heavy metal removal.

Most people when they first get ill and get tested energetically show that they are "allergic" to their watch, the different metal alloys therein. I did not wear a watch for close to five years because it blocked my regulation, i.e. it disturbed my autonomic nervous system. I did not wear any jewelry of any kind for a number of years because of that.

The radiation from Smart Meters has similarly damaging effects.

Check your meters in apartment or house and see what you are exposed to. Analog used to be fine; digital is not. Google and learn agout it. It penetrates walls, windows, everything and is not an easy problem to be solved.

Grounding as C. says is good to do. We used to get our feet and hands dirty and did not have to pay a lot of money for silica because we absorbed it through hands, feet, etc. from the earth.
The most damaging area is the bed where we spent
the most hours in one spot.

Dirty Electricity within the house is very common and can be corrected by Stetzer filters. I did that a few days ago in our home and I got the meter count down considerably. But I am still battling the neighbors' smart meter radiation that seems to be coming from many directions.

The wrists (watch!!) and ankles are the most ennervated areas of the body and are therefore a good spot to rub if you can use cilantro or other that you want to get into the nervous system quickly. It will get there faster than through the stomach.

Any scars anywhere in the body also cause electric signals and that is one of the problems on the first visit neutralized by doctors who understand Neural Therapy and pain with chronic disease. An old scar from an injury of yours ago can cause a lasting migraine.

I thought about pitching a tent in the yard, but I don't think there is a way to escape Smart Meter radiation. Hope someone finds a good solution - because the whole world including Europe seems to be included in this worldwide plan.

Take care of yourselves.

So glad I checked Lymenet today and found this post!

I had the same problem when I was a teenager. I kept thinking I was buying defective watches. My "record" for stopping a watch was one day! My mother gave me a nice watch for graduation and I couldn't wear it but I gave it back to her and it worked perfectly for her.

That was when watches were windup. I haven't had a problem with battery operated watches.

FYI, I've had Lyme for at least 30 years, maybe longer.

I haven't had the watch problem, but I do have a weird problem with shopping carts- sometimes I spend most of my grocery shopping time trying to keep from touching the metal parts of the cart because it shocks me quite painfully.

Some days it's the same thing with car doors; can't open or close them without a zap!

Years ago, the cuticles on the sides of my nails wud be easily damaged and every time I put the little raw spot under running water, I would feel an electric shock sensation. Very painful. And odd. Unfortunately I'm getting used to being odd [Smile]

canefan, why walk barefoot "15-20 minutes"?
I'd think just a minute or less would do it.

elainer- I think you're just describing static electricity that build up on us, esp. on a dry day. Rubbing along seat cushions.. even brushing clothing against stuff can cause this.
It's the main cause of gas station fires, Believe it or Not (as opposed to cellphones, which STILL have ZERO fired attributed to them by the official statistics keepers).
People put the gas pump handle on "auto" w/ the metal tab, come back & zzzap/POOF a small gasoline flash-fire. Rare, but it happens.

M. S.

P.S: I have researched/ worked with 'dirty electricity' for years and feel the "Stetzer filters" are only something making SOMEone pretty rich.
Buying (or building) [a] large, bulk E.M.I. filter[s] for A.C. circuits ("branches") throughout the house would be just as effective, if not more so. Also, there are PS's that take in utility power & put out a PURE 60-Hz sine wave for appliances or computers.

Meant to say there are U.P.S.es (uninterruptable power supplies) that put out pure sinewave A.C.... even after a blackout!...
for a While anyway.

Easily shocked is a symptom of low ADH.
