So before this past Monday, have doing well on just ceftin. Came off IV rocephin in mid January, was on for 6 months. Helped me tremendously!

Why all of a sudden do I feel so many symptoms??? My cycle is usually the end of the month... It doesn't make sense.

When you were on the IV rocephin, did you take any other meds with it? If you didn't take a cyst buster, then that could explain it.

Taking one med at a time (called monotherapy) doesn't get rid of lyme. Many, many on this board will tell you the same from personal experience. I wasted 2 years doing that before I knew any better.

Now you are just on ceftin? Again, this monotherapy always fails.

Read it in Burrascano:

"COMBINATION THERAPY
Treatment of chronic Lyme usually requires combinations of antibiotics. There are four reasons for this: . . ." (page 12)

http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

Read the entire section to see the 4 reasons why taking just one antibiotic won't kill lyme.

If this is really how you have been treated so far, you should seriously consider getting another doctor.

If the therapy is inadequate, the lyme will continue to progress. I was told that by Burrascano.

My lyme was progressing on my monotherapy and I got to ask Burrascano why he thought I was getting new horrendous symptoms. That was his answer. Never forgot it.

I switched docs, got on 2 lyme meds at once, and got rid of my lyme in no time flat!

If your doc is in NY, I'll bet I can guess his name!
