I will have to wait for my first LLMD appoitnment for almost 2 months. Seem slike a life time...
Does it make sense to arrange for Igenex tests now with primary physician (if he/she is willing to sign the order) or wait?
Igenex representative says that most of the doctors start with Complete Lime Panel 6050. Is it a good starting point while waiting for LLMD appointment?
Thanks in advance!

In my experience my sickest son was tested through IgeneX locally while we waited for an appointment. I feel like it saved us 3 weeks.
Not sure if you are seeing our Chicago doc or not, but he does not require the full Lyme panel. You would be OK getting the cheapest $200 western blot IgG and IgM. IgeneX coinfection testing did not pick up our coinfections. Testing was negative but clinically we were diagnosed and other lab work supported bart and babs.
I would give the doc a call. The nurses should know the answer to your question.

- I do think it's wise to do what you can now - if you have never had a bulls eye rash after tick bite. If you have, I would not do lyme tests as the bulls eye rash & symptoms is a clear indicator -- but I would put money toward other TBD (tick-borne disease) tests instead.
If money is very tight and testing would prevent a LLMD appointment or treatment, I would just wait for the CLINICAL assessment by an experienced LLMD.
A true expert with experience can tell so much just by doing their job as a detective. Lyme is a clinical diagnosis, anyway - and same with some coinfections.
Still, whoever orders any tests, and whoever & where ever you have the blood sample drawn, prepared and shipped from -- you will need to keep eagle eyes on every single detail to be absolutely certain it is done correctly.
Igenex is excellent.
If at all possible, (and if you never had a bulls eye rash) I would go with the new Advanced Labs testing for Borrelia,
but you should also try to budget money for testing of coinfections. Details here, scroll all the way to the end for the new test method: -----------
