I think I have some sort of cns bartonella like organism or mycoplasma strain. I cannot tolerate levaquin factive cipro avelox. My symptoms are severe cognitive impairment, muscle twitching, and depersonalization
How does this protocol sound:
Mycobutin + minocycline + bactrim
has anybody taken these together?
If so, what symptoms improved?
How long did you take it for to notice improvements?

I am currently on Bactrim DS and Minocycline. Have only been on this current regiment for a few weeks but I can tell you about 5 days after starting the neuropathy pain and twitching in my leg became so painful I was almost in tears...
It lasted almost 48 hours and then subsided...I hope it means the abx are working.

I don't have brain fog...but I was recently bit again in NC and had the rash on my back. I presented with mostly Bart symptoms including noise sensitivity...nausea...wierd head feeling like I was off balance...depersonalization..worse insomnia.
I am taking Bactrim DS..Minocycline...Rifampin for Bart. I was taking Mycobutin but the doctor wants me taking Rifampin. It makes my insomina even worse so I am only taking a 300mg in the morning right now..

Do you know why your doctor switched you from Mycobutin to Rifampin?
I tried Rifampin last year at this time and couldn't tolerate it. New doctor just put me on Mycobutin, Omincef, Mino or Septra (I alternate these two every cycle).
On this combo, I feel great. This is the best I have felt in years
