so my LLNP e-mailed me and said that the CDC called to inform her that I'm still positive for brucella and RMSF after 16 months on antibiotics.
I guess the lab had to report it.
She doesn't even have the results yet so I can't look at them.
So the weird thing is, is that every time I take biaxin or bactrim I get what I think is the RMSF rash. It starts on the bottom of my toes and then the tips of my fingers.
They go away after 2 weeks because I usually stop the antibiotic because my doctor thinks it's an allergic reaction.
I really didn't think it was possible to have chronic RMSF. Is it?

Gosh, I don't know how to sort out which infection is causing which symptom.
For me, my main struggle is with: low grade fevers, massive fatigue, terrible brain fog/inability to even think, creaky knees, sore neck/shoulders at times.

RMSF can be chronic. How long were you on doxy and what dose? Have you tried combining that with rifampin?
Even though minocycline is in the same class as doxy I do not believe it works the same on RMSF. Hubby's fevers did not go away on mino -- only on doxy.
Have you tried taking wobenzyme or lumbrokinase or anything else for hypercoagulation?
Do you know if you have babesia? Have you ever treated for that?
In my opinion many of the infections can become sequestered or hide out and a massive die off of red blood cells can bring them out of hiding.
Hubby had this happen last summer when he tried IV flagyl. Then 5 months later his first dose of IV doxy brought out a mild RMSF rash. For the 5 months prior to that we had no idea that he had that infection. But once he got on oral doxy the fevers which had been present for 5 months stopped. And his bloodwork changed a little.
But with ongoing aggressive treatment for babesia and ehrlichia/anaplasma it was hard to tell what was what.
The 5th fever of over 102 seemed to be the turning point for hubby. Once he got on the oral doxy things started to move in the right direction. It has been 7 months now since his last hospitalization and high fever.
Brucella is definitely one of the harder infections to treat and it also takes very specific combos of meds.

From what I have read over the years,only Rife can kill RMSF.People that had used Rife can controll Rmsf.
It will work better than antibiotics.I huge book with anectode from people that have used the frequencies that were able to kill .
This is from years in Rife forum.Have you tried Homepathic formula NOsode for it .
Many people have tried Doxy Iv ( almost one case for 2 years in a row and never killed the RMSF) rife did.

I haven't tried rife at all yet. I think I will look into it.
I was on the full dose of doxy plus rifampin for 4 months and then rifampin and other combos for about a yr. As soon as I went off it, I started to feel awful again.
I'm treating babesia now with malarone, zith and crypto. The weird thing is, is that I've never had a fever, ever. Maybe 101 like twice.
Thanks for the advice. My doctor actually called Dr. H to see what to do and is still waiting for a call back.
