question about c3a and c4a tests. i just had these done in preparation for a visit to my new LLMD.
i have read that c4a typically tends to be very elevated in lyme patients. mine, shockingly, is normal. it was 242.8 (Range: 0-650).
oddly enough, my c3a was low. it was 50.7 (Range: 54-202).
does anyone know anything about c3a?

2,428 isn't too bad, but still out of range on the C4a. Mine was 28,000+. Another member here had 43,000+ before!
That C3a is so close to normal that it doesn't seem worrisome.

Yes, my C4a was 28,000 Nefferdun. Sky high. I thought high C4a and normal C3a = mold poisoning according to this book. I have all the markers of mold poisoning, but zero evidence of it being an issue in my home via inspection/air testing.
Where did you read the musculoskeletal Lyme issue correlates with this pattern?

Look at the link I posted. He shows high as 8-9 thousand, which is where mine was at - not 28,000!! Yikes. Maybe that is mold.
