Hi everyone,

I have been on doxy/cipro or mino/cipro for some time, my burning pain, muscle twitching and shortness of breath is much improved.

I also have been treating parasites as I discovered in Feb I have a bad case of parasites, mostly with humaworm and a few rx's.

Last week I took ivermectin (paste) and had a terrible reaction. very dizzy, scary vertigo stuff and chest pain. After 3 days of being in bed it subsided, and I began to feel better.

Then 2 days after it cleared up I began having the vertigo again, I am only taking doxy/cipro. I finished the humaworm and was about to try parastroy.

I have been waking up drenched in sweat several times each night, also the vertigo is making me wonder if I have babesia emerging, triggered from the ivermectin??

I did try malarone last summer did have some dizziness and could not work up to the therapeutic dose.

Does this sound like babesia. I just received cryptolisis (spell?) what is a good and low staring dose?

thank you for reading

It does sound like babesia. Probably a giant herx. I am still learning about ivermectin myself so I am no expert on what all it treats. Most people take it for FL1953 but some say they are taking it for Bb and others for babesia.

What are the symptoms for FL1953?

Not something else I have to worry about? It seems impossible to get it all straight

Frankly , there is so much confusion over every damn thing related to this disease . Almost all attempts to improve are guesswork as is DX , IMO .

It seems like everyone herxes forver, plateaus, but rarely gets well - no matter what . It seems like there is never a clear answer . We do know we have chronic infection(s) . Everything else is speculation.

I am herxing hard on ivermectin and doxy . I have been off ABX a long time , but can see that lyme is still a problem with the doxy die off reaction. I also herx on ivermectin .

I can tell you that my daughter had a day last week...a WHOLE DAY...where she felt absolutely normal.

It gave us hope.

These are my symptoms:
Cold hands and feet, shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping, muscle pain, joint pain, extreme fatigue, exercise intolerance, brain fog, poor balance, irritability/anxiety, hypercoagulation, hoarseness, twitching and chills, dry irritated eyes (don't see that one in there) and nasal congestion as though I have allergies.

The fatigue and breathlessness is constant but the rest comes and goes. It sure sound like FL1953 but it also sounds like babesia and Bb. As annxyzz says, who the heck knows! You just use one thing and then another and see what happens.

Ivermectin is specific for targeting parasites/worms. Just because a doctor thinks it may hit another infection doesn't make it so. Parasite dieoff can get rough.

Shortness of breath can be caused by lungworm dieoff, and the other symptoms can be specific for other parasites.

Not saying it can't go after other infections because I did get rid of babs and bart with antiparasitic herbs and salt/c.

Dr. K. says in order to get rid of babs and other infections related to Lyme, you have to treat for G.I. parasites first.

My experience is that antiparasitics first target parasites/worms. Kind of like peeling an onion.

Just my 2 cents.

Gael

thanks everyone

I have not taken Ivermectin in 8 days but the symptoms triggered by it (vertigo) continue.

I guess it can't be a drug reaction? I am assuming a drug reaction would have subsided by now.

So would you guys start taking it again? even if I am feeling horrible?

I don't know but it seems it might be best to do some babesia drugs first. What separates FL1953 from babesia for me, is with babesia I had hot flashes, dizziness (vertigo and ataxia) and cramps in my large muscles; the thighs, back and buttucks. Do you have any of that or sweating?

Now I feel spaced and my balance is off from the minocycline I just started but I do not have the dizziness I had with babesia. That was the kind where I had to hold the wall to keep from falling.

I do not feel herbs do anything for babesia but create resistance unless you take them with drugs - then they boost each other. So I would try malarone or mepron with zithro if I were you.

minocycline did that to my daughter at first. It's a good drug for crossing the blood brain barrier. It really helped clear up most of her brain fog.
