I've been on it for almost two weeks and feel lousy. Feel itchy all over, all my joints ache, etc. For those who have taken it, did u herx? Does this mean it's working?

I'm bringing this back up. Anyone on Albenza? I just went to get my script and its $$$$$. I believe this will be an important med for me.
Can anyone write their experience with this? Was it expensive for you? What are your thoughts on Mabendazole as opposed to this medicine?

I just started it this morning. Nothing notable yet. Stomach feels itchy on the surface....but could be from a sunburn I just got (my Badger lotion did not work!)
I got my Albenza thru a Canadian pharmacy. Didn't cost much at all... I think around $45 for 2 weeks, if I remember correctly.

By the second day I could hardly walk because it felt like my liver was swollen. I felt very toxic. I think I had a HUGE die-off. It's one of the few antiparasitics that works for me.
Hope it works as well for you.

I had occasional intense, sudden pains in random places (deep in my thigh, etc).
Honestly, it felt as though something was exploding inside me. (sorry!)
Good luck - I hope it helps you!

Tammy - please PM me the pharmacy.
I didn't actually pay for my script as it was too expensive.

Tammy. Did you get Albenza also known as Andazol? Is that the generic?
Straight Albenza is $69 for 2 tablets.

Yes, Andazol. And it's working already. Just started yesterday morning, and already this morning I am passing parasites.
I've been feeling fine with it....maybe a little bloated/gassy, but fine.

I was really sick on Albenza-sharp stomach pains, volumonous bowel movements, itchy stomach, increased fatigue and irritability. All good signs that it was killing off the parasites. I did lose 10 pounds though as anything I ate just went thru me. PM me about cost

my response to albenza is achy, tired, lightheaded, a little nauseous, easily emotional (like getting teary-eyed at long distance commercials kind of thing) low appetite, and diarrhea.
I have not been chewing it and taking it with fat. I already feel so crummy, I can't bear to do that right now.
Last time I was on it last year (?), my doc wanted me to take it for a couple months because I have horrible parasites and symptoms were not all gone. After a couple months on albenza I did lose some hair, not bunches of it or anything but more than normal but it all came back. I remember being very happy to stop it and am looking forward to the same again now.

Best drug for me in combination with Zithromax and paragone. I did colonics with this and felt okay while doing it and great for months after.

I tried albenza before and could tell it was killing something, but felt terrible. This med said to take it with lots of fats. Fats for me (proto) make things worse, so I'm hoping I can do it with less fat.
