Two tablets twice a day. Started it right off the bat when beginning treatment, as a preventative measure. Eight months into treatment and, knock wood, no yeast problems at all.

Yes, take it at the same time as your abx. My current doc rx's 2 million IU twice a day, which is 4 tabs twice a day. It makes a big difference to take this dosage, as opposed to 1/2 that.
He rx's it compounded, so you don't get all the dyes and fillers of 8 tabs. But, since that is a lot more expensive, and I have an rx for the regular tabs, I switch off, sometimes the regular tabs, sometimes the compounded (spit the difference).

I do 1 million iu 4x a day (compounded version). I guess that equals Rumi's dose. Rumi is right, I think the fillers make a big difference. The pills work a tiny bit on me, but not as well as the compounded.

So I'd ask my Doc to prescribe the compounded Nystatin tablets? And he'll know what I'm talking about?

No, it's in powdered form and must be refrigerated (you have to find a compounding pharmacy nearby or order from one and have them ship it to you).
