I just don't know what to do for my daughter! She had severe ear pressure back in March, but we thought that we had it figured out. She was taking a supplement, and when she stopped it, the ear pressure went away.

It's now back and worse than ever. She had to sleep with me last night, and she doesn't really want to be out of my sight for very long. She's sixteen, so this is very odd behavior for her.

She has been more tired than usual and also in some pain. She has two classes per week, and she told me that she is not going to be able to go this week.

Again, I'm saying all of this because it's just so out of the ordinary for her. Even though I know that she suffers daily, she usually goes on and continues with life.

She has been treating for two years and on IV's for almost one year. I am so at a loss as to how to help her. She just sits and holds her head in her hands. She cries. I just want to take it all away so bad.

Can anyone help me with a solution, or tell me why this might be happening now?

Here's a list of her meds and supplements:
IV Claforon
Zith
Bactrim
compounded T3 T4
Neurtontin
Allegra
Pulmicort
Omeprazole
Two week course of Diflucan-usually Nystatin
B-Complex
Adrenal formula
milk thistle
D-3
ALA
5-HTP

I don't think I missed anything.

We are not scheduled to see Dr. J for another month. Should I call him?

My heart breaks for her and also you Mom. Poor thing, I would absolutely call him. Sorry I have nothing else as far as advise. But I will pray for her and for you. Please let us know how she does.

Maybe she needs a break, some time to detox? I would run anything past Dr. J first though.

See if your doc would let you stop the antibiotics for a couple days.
The head pain and pressure, along with the fatigue, may be a herx.

I don't see too much on her list that would help with liver support.
If she stops the antibiotics for a bit, be sure to take magnesium and fish oil.
These will help the liver to make glutathione, to help detoxify the dead bacteria.

I had the same problem when I was on both antibiotics and holistic therapies.

It seems like it sometime of Herxheimer reaction or the actual bacteria(s) itself causing havoc. It could be yeast, heavy metals?

The ears are very delicate and prone to getting infections.

I was diagnosed with Meniere's disease. Actually, the proper diagnose is Lyme induced Meniere's.

Have your daughter avoid salt, cheese, sugar substitutes, nuts, chocolate, caffeine, tea. These foods, especially salt, can trigger Lyme-Meniere's symptoms.

I also remove ear wax by candling. You can buy ear candles in any health food store. Removing excess wax can help to alleviate pressure.

You may need to use more than one candle per ear. I happen to have excess ear wax. Don't know why.

But every time I candle, I feel like I'm taking out lots of junk that has settled in the wax.

After I candle, I use Wally's Ear Oil. Buy this in a health food store to. The natural oils (tea tree, almond eucalyptus, garlic, etc.), are soothing and calming to the ear.

I still candle and use the oil every few months.

I had inner ear pressure problems that came on as part of a yeast infection from prolonged abx. I stopped the Abx and increased the good probiotics. Over the course of a month or two the inner problems abated.

The yeast problems can also be causing a lot of the fatigue symptoms as well.

Marhsall62, she's having a ton of yeast problems! Maybe that's the answer.

Thank you all for chiming in. She's worse than ever today. She never has pain and she's in a lot of it today.

She's not been this bad in a long time.
