My thyroid is low. I've been taking thyropin but it isn't strong enough I guess. I took synthroid a few years ago before my ALS symptoms started. I don't want to take it again in case that was a trigger for ALS. Has anyone taken armor thyroid? -------------------- Dxd ALS 3/2010 Dxd cllinical Lyme 4/2010 Positive for Protomyxzoa but absolutely nothing else in Igenex

I take 50 MCG of Synthroid AND 30 MG of Armour. This has been a great combination for me. I love my Armour -- when it was unavailabl a couple of years ago for a period, I really missed it. Armour in naturally derived.

My liver could never "convert" the synthetic (or me tolerate) Synthroid -- (must of been the lyme). I don't have a thyroid.... I took Armour from 1999 until a couple of years ago when they reformulated it -- many people couldn't handle the change in the "fillers" I now take Erfa Thyroid (which is very much like the "old" Armour). I use this and get it from Canada (with a script), you can't purchase it here in the U.S. Another good natural thyroid med is Nature-Throid..
