I have been seriously considering taking a break from meds lately.

I have been treating since August last year and am treating babs now.

I feel like I am not getting anywhere and just constatly feeling cruddy from the meds for no reason.

These constant headaches and fatigue are especially tiresome.

now last night I had a wave of dizziness hit me so hard I was down for over an hour and the nausea with it was horrendous.

I just don't know how much longer I can do this. I just want to have some normalcy back, just a little bit.

I just feel like there have been so many setbacks since starting mepron/zith etc. Having to stop it all due to the septra allergy and now restating it all over again.

The brain fog is coming and going again, ugh!

Has anyone ever taken a break from meds then came back? Would it cause a big setback??

Not a bad idea to take a break and see where your baseline is. I'd start back on meds once symptoms started getting worse.

I could last three days off babs meds, but longer off Lyme meds. when I was sick.

You could also run the idea by your LLMD. He might have some ideas regarding detox or herbs during the break.

There is a theory that taking a break from ABX will allow the ketes to start coming out of the biofilm.

Then when you start back up your ABX will be more effective.

I have no evidence of this but I am on a 5 day break to improve my liver and get some detoxing done.

I will start back on ABX again on Saturday. I have not stopped any supplementation and continue to do Salt/C.

I have been very stiff and arthritic for the last two of these three days, much more than normal.

All the Best, MattH
