I've already tried Diflucan and it didn't eradicate what I presume is yeast. My tongue is white and I'm getting a bit scared I might have to give up antibiotics.

I need to improve my diet for sure, what other home remedies does anyone know about? Oh and I've been on Nystatin and I still got yeast!

Sporonox is really good and reaches you systemically I tried diflucan for a bit but then switched to this and found it much better.

Also oregano oil , wild garlic, coconut oil, caprylic acid tabs and probiotics are all really good for yeast. With all these you need to detox.

I have been treating yeast for 5 years far before I ever even knew I had Lyme and have been through all sorts of treatment for this

My llmd also suggests after brushing the teeth to actually break a probiotic cap in the mouth and hold it there and move it arOund in the mOuth I was getting a bit of white on my tongue and did this a few times and now my tongue looks normal again

Hope this helps

Drugs alone will not eradicate yeast. You MUST watch your diet at the same time.

Ask for Diflucan again and get on the diet.

Lymetoo is right the diet is huge in fighting yeast. There are many great books out there on yeast and often they include good recipes as well

I've had reasonable success with hydrogen peroxide. I keep a toothbrush with soft bristles around and scrub my tongue with H2O2.

The yeast was bad enough at one point I took some bleach, diluted it 10:1, and used that as well.

You can ask your LLMD for some nystatin. It's pretty effective, and like H2O2 and bleach it doesn't really get into your bloodstream, something about the molecules being too big.

As others have pointed out, you have to really watch your diet. No sugar, limit starches, brush you teeth every time you eat something.

It's a nuisance, but not nearly as bad as what the abx are for.

Wow- thank you all for your suggestions. Maya, is Sporonox in a spray form or pill? I'm assuming it's an Rx, right?

You all are right, I need to starve these buggers to death. I think with my horrible fatigue I do crave carbs and some simple sugars just to make me able to get out of bed. But this might be hampering any progress too. Thanks everyone, will definitely try your suggestions.

I tried a supplement called candida cleanse. Its not prescription...I found it at whole foods and it was recommended in a book I read about candida.

I had been on the diet and still had the white tongue. I think it worked really really well.

But...diet is definitely key.

Hey horsefly yes Sporonox is a pill and it is an rx and like any other one like this you need to do regular blood work to heck the liver if you do try it make sure you have liver support and detox. I was on it for a year though and never had any liver issues

I think the generic name is iatroconozole or something like that. You can get it at Costco pharmacy much cheeper than other drug stores

sacromynes boulardi should completley eradicate the white tounge from abx withing a month. mine was white for years and within a couple of weeks looks like it always used to. It should be taken with probiotics. Its amazing results.

white tounge does not mean yeast infection or that medication is necessary.
